Nurse

1st Tuesday of each month, 9 am-12 pm, Free. An RN from Northwest Hospital is available to check blood pressures and blood sugars, to answer questions and to provide information to keep you healthy. First come, first served.

Hearing Aid Clinic

4th Tuesday each month, 1-3 pm. Free. Make an appointment with Sound Associates to get your hearing aids checked, cleaned or repaired. Get your hearing checked and get your questions about hearing loss answered by an expert.

Brain Health: InSight

Would you like to: Drive more safely and confidently? Improve your ability to concentrate? Retain your health-related quality of life and independence? Your ability to see depends as much on your brain as your eyes. The eyes take in visual information, but it’s the brain’s job to process it. If your brain gets “fuzzy,” as often happens with age, your ability diminishes to take in, react to and remember what you see. Insight is an entertaining brain fitness program available at the GSC that does for your brain what glasses do for the eyes. It sharpens perception and speeds up your ability to react. Brain Health: POSIT

This is an amazing brain health computer program. Come see if it’s right for you. Call the GSC and ask for Liz - she’ll set up an appointment for you to meet with one of the coaches and see if this program meets your needs. Call (206) 297-0875 to schedule. Cost: $50.

Foot Care

2nd & 4th Fridays, 3rd Mondays of each month, 9am-3 pm. Cost is $30/members, $34/non-members. Nurse Tina Williams, RN, BSN, offers Foot Care at GSC. Appointments are required, so please call in advance to set one up. If you are a diabetic or on a blood thinner she can accommodate you, but if you require any surgical procedures you will need to see your doctor instead. Call GSC for more information.

Chair Massages

Wednesdays, 9-11:30 am. $10/15 minutes, $5/8 minutes. Licensed Massage Practitioner Susan Cook provides low-cost massages to the community. Enjoy an eight or fifteen minute chair massage and get those kinks out of your shoulders, neck and back. A portion of the proceeds help to support activities and services for local seniors.
