Seniors Wanted For Civic Engagement Project! The Greenwood SAGE Project is a group of Seniors, Active, Giving, and Engaged in their community. The goal of this project is to have seniors work together to address important local and global issues by utilizing the wisdom, judgment, and experience of seniors to serve directly in the community. The committee, comprised of S.A.G.E participants, picks a global topic that also affects our community. If the topic is particularly extensive, we explore the general issue for a few months in order to get a comprehensive view, focusing on a different aspect each month. Education days generally occur on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the form of presentation, lecture, video, etc. Every 4th Tuesday of the month there is a Greenwood S.A.G.E. Action Day, where knowledge about issues will be put into action by volunteering or advocating in the community to make positive changes. Check out the information below for ways to become involved.
